I have read various articles online about the incentives and psychological effects behind nostalgia. The feeling of nostalgia comes from people fondly remembering their childhood memories, which include their friends, family, and personal experiences.
There are usually two driving forces for nostalgia: a. The need to recapture what life was like in the “Good Old Days” when life was simpler. b. The need for people and places we know to return.
Internal Expert
For my internal expert, I plan on talking to Megan Cramer. I hope to learn how nostalgia played a role in what plays and musicals were chosen for Galloway to perform.
1st Question: You and Ms. Marele have selected lots of adaptations for our school plays and musicals. What made you choose those to perform at Galloway?
Most Important Question: Why do you think people in general prefer adaptations?
External Expert
I plan on speaking externally with Professor Kent Wall. I hope to learn that people enjoy remakes because it reminds them of their childhood.
1st Question:In your filmmaking classes, do you teach about nostalgia and character development?

Further Research and Questions
A possible next question is “What makes the originals so fondly remembered by many people?”
I need to further my research by reading more articles.
